What I treat

Different site, same problem.

Wherever it shows up, the cause is usually the same: not enough capacity for what you're asking of it.

Green Fields, specifically

Where I used to be, and why I moved.

Straight up: I used to practise in Green Fields. The clinic is now at Shop 8, 19 Ways Road, Hampstead Gardens, about eight minutes away, and this page exists because plenty of people I have treated for years are still in and around here.

Green Fields is barely residential. Around 170 people live in it. It is warehouses and light industry, it backs onto Parafield Airport, and Greenfields station has been on the Gawler line since 1969. Most of the people who spend their days here are working, not living.

That shapes the injuries almost entirely. Warehousing, logistics, freight and light manufacturing produce the same pattern: repetitive lifting through a limited range, done for years, often on concrete, often against a clock. Backs and shoulders, mostly. Occasionally a knee.

The thing worth understanding about those injuries is that the incident everyone remembers is rarely the cause. A back that goes lifting a box has usually been running out of capacity for a long time, and the box was just the last thing asked of it. Treating only the box is why it comes back within the year.

I do a lot of WorkCover and return-to-work rehab, and I will tell you honestly how I run it: the plan has to end with you able to meet the real physical demands of your actual job, tested rather than assumed. Anything short of that is a return that fails later.

If you were a patient at the old rooms, nothing has changed except the address. Same physio, same approach, eight minutes further along.
