What I treat

Different site, same problem.

Wherever it shows up, the cause is usually the same: not enough capacity for what you're asking of it.

Lightsview, specifically

Built on a school oval, next to a rehab hospital.

Lightsview barely existed twenty years ago. Building started in 2006 on what was then part of Northgate, it absorbed land from Greenacres and Northfield, took in the old Ross Smith Secondary School site, and only became a suburb in its own right in 2016. Hampstead Road, Redward Avenue, Fosters Road and Folland Avenue box it in.

Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre is here, a campus of the Royal Adelaide. Worth naming plainly: that is a specialist rehabilitation hospital for serious injury and neurological conditions, and it is a different job to mine. What I do is musculoskeletal, and it is for people who are functioning but stuck.

What a new suburb produces. Lightsview is young, dense and family-heavy. The pattern I see most is the one that comes with that stage of life: people who trained consistently before kids, stopped without ever deciding to, and are now trying to restart on a body that has quietly lost several years of capacity.

The restart is where it goes wrong. Not because people are unfit, but because the expectation carried over intact while the capacity did not. Six weeks in, something gives, usually a back or a knee.

That is not a reason to be careful forever. It is a reason to rebuild in the right order, which is what I do.

Hampstead Road runs from your boundary straight to my door. Three minutes, free parking.

How I work

A complete method - not a quick fix.

01
Find the real cause

Why it keeps happening - not just where it hurts.

02
Calm the system

Settle the pain and the worry, so you can move and trust your body again.

03
Rebuild for good

Build you back to handle more than daily life asks - so it holds.
