What I treat

Different site, same problem.

Wherever it shows up, the cause is usually the same: not enough capacity for what you're asking of it.

Manningham, specifically

The clinic is on your eastern boundary.

This is about as local as it gets. Manningham is bounded by Hampstead Road to the west, North East Road to the south, Muller Road to the north, and Ways Road to the east. The clinic is at Shop 8, 19 Ways Road. I am, quite literally, on the edge of your suburb.

Manningham is also small. Fewer than 1,500 people live here, which means most of it is within a genuine walk of my front door, and everyone else is a two-minute drive.

The history is better than most. Manningham was an estate called Manningham Lodge, and it was used for training horses before it was subdivided and sold off in 1934. A suburb that started as a training yard is a reasonable place for a physio who thinks about load and capacity for a living.

What I see from here. Because the suburb is small and old, the mix skews toward long-term residents rather than a single dominant demographic. What that produces is the recurring problem rather than the acute one: the back that has flared every few months for eight years, the shoulder that has been not-quite-right since something happened to it in the nineties, the knee that stops you doing one specific thing.

Those are the cases I most want. They are also the ones most often written off as permanent. They are usually not. Recurrence means the underlying capacity never got rebuilt, only the symptoms settled, and that is a fixable problem rather than a fact about your body.

Bennett Memorial Reserve on North East Road is your nearest open ground. The clinic is closer.

How I work

Calm the system

Settle the pain and the worry, so you can move and trust your body again.

03
Rebuild for good
