What I treat

Different site, same problem.

Wherever it shows up, the cause is usually the same: not enough capacity for what you're asking of it.

Paralowie, specifically

Big school, physical work, long trip.

Paralowie is around twenty-one kilometres north of the city, off Whites Road and Waterloo Corner Road, with Port Wakefield Road running past. Paralowie R-12 School has more than fifteen hundred students, which makes it one of the largest single schools in my catchment.

It is also a working suburb, and the jobs are physical: transport, warehousing, construction, food processing and shift work through the northern industrial belt.

That combination produces two distinct groups.

The first is the shift worker with a back. Night work, early starts and rotating rosters do real damage to recovery, and recovery is when tissue adapts. Someone doing heavy repetitive work on broken sleep is loading a body that never gets a proper chance to rebuild between shifts. That is why these injuries become chronic more often than the same injury in someone sleeping normally, and it is why the plan has to account for the roster rather than pretend it is not there. I do a lot of WorkCover and return-to-work rehab on exactly this profile.

The second is school-age sport, with the volume that comes from a school that size.

Worth saying plainly: this is one of the longest trips to me, about twenty minutes. There are closer options and for a simple sprain you should use them. What I am worth the drive for is the recurring problem that has already been treated once and did not hold, and the return-to-sport or return-to-work decision that actually matters.

How I work

A complete method - not a quick fix.

01
Find the real cause

Why it keeps happening - not just where it hurts.

02
Calm the system

Settle the pain and the worry, so you can move and trust your body again.

03
Rebuild for good

Build you back to handle more than daily life asks - so it holds.
